Multilogin proxy setup
Multilogin X takes a custom proxy as one `IP:port:login:password` line, which is the `host:port:user:pass` format of our generator. Give every browser profile its own sticky line.
- Protocols
- HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5 custom proxies. Use HTTP (7000) or SOCKS5 (7001)
- UDP
- Not documented through the proxy; WebRTC on Masked follows the proxy's IP
- Where the setting is
- Profile settings → Proxy → Custom, or Proxy templates in the left menu
- Line format
host:port:user:pass- Works with
- Residential and mobile proxies
Before you start
- Multilogin X with the desktop app open, or the agent connected for the web interface. Use profiles for your own accounts, clients' ads accounts you manage with their access, or QA and testing, each within the platform's rules.
- Your login and password from the Residential or Mobile page, and traffic on that product.
- One generated line per profile: Session Sticky, Session time 60 min, Protocol HTTP, Format
host:port:user:pass.
- Host
gate.aeonproxy.com- Port (HTTP / HTTPS)
7000- Port (SOCKS5)
7001- Login
- your proxy login, with targeting keys if you need them:
LOGIN-cc-us-sid-abc123 - Password
- your proxy password
Copy the login and password from the Residential or Mobile page of the dashboard; the generator there also writes ready lines. Key syntax: targeting and sessions.
Add the proxy to a profile
- Go to Profiles → Browser → Create, or open the settings of an existing profile, and find the Proxy section.
- Choose Custom, then the protocol: HTTP for port 7000 or SOCKS5 for port 7001.
- Paste one line:
gate.aeonproxy.com:7000:LOGIN-cc-gb-st-scotland-sid-mlx01-ttl-60:PASSWORD. - Multilogin checks the proxy by itself. When it reports “Proxy check passed”, click Create, then Start the profile on the Profiles tab.
Reuse lines with proxy templates
Proxy templates in the left menu store proxies for later (Pro 20 plans and higher; account owners and managers). Click Create, name the template, choose Custom and a Format, pick the protocol, paste, then click Check proxy and Create. Attach it with Manage assigned profiles → Confirm, or choose Template in a profile's Proxy section.
- One proxy holds a single line.
- Proxy list takes up to 25 lines and uses them Sequentially (top to bottom) or Randomly (no repeats).
Every profile on a One proxy template uses the same line, so they share one session key and one IP. For separate IPs, make one template per profile, or paste each profile's own line under Custom.
Check the proxy
A passed check means Multilogin reached the proxy and read the data it sets from the IP, such as time zone and geolocation. To run it again, select the profile and click Check proxy in the top menu or the right-click menu. Then start the profile and open the IP checker to compare the IP, time zone and WebRTC result. Leave WebRTC and Timezone on Masked, the defaults, so Multilogin matches both to the proxy; Real shows your own.
Rotating or sticky
Use sticky lines. Multilogin fits the profile to the IP its check saw, and with a rotating login (no -sid-) the browser's next connections leave from other IPs. Keep rotating lines for quick tests.
gate.aeonproxy.com:7000:LOGIN-cc-gb-st-scotland-sid-mlx01-ttl-60:PASSWORD # profile 1
gate.aeonproxy.com:7000:LOGIN-cc-gb-st-scotland-sid-mlx02-ttl-60:PASSWORD # profile 2A sticky IP lasts at most 60 minutes, and no residential or mobile IP can be kept for days. When it ends, the same line gets a new IP in Scotland. With the key and targeting unchanged, the Masked time zone still fits the next IP.
If it does not work
| What you see | What to check |
|---|---|
| “Proxy check failed” | The protocol and port (HTTP with 7000, SOCKS5 with 7001), then the login and password. A key the gateway does not know gets 407. |
| “Wrong proxy data” | The line is not in ip:port:username:password order, or there is no traffic behind it (402). Paste a fresh line from the generator and click Check proxy. |
| The check passes, the profile does not start | Multilogin's guide: restart the desktop app or reconnect the agent, turn on automatic time and time zone, and pause a VPN, firewall or antivirus. If the line works in the proxy tester, also try another network. |
| A running profile stops loading pages | Look at the traffic left in the dashboard (402 means none). A 502 is one failed exit: reload, and the profile keeps its line. |
Questions
No, it serves Multilogin's own proxies. To move a profile to a new IP, change the session key in its line (-sid-mlx01 to -sid-mlx01b). Without that, the IP renews itself after the -ttl- minutes.
No. Choose HTTP: an HTTP proxy carries HTTPS sites through a tunnel, and encryption stays between the browser and the site. The HTTPS protocol expects TLS to the proxy, which port 7000 does not offer.
Yes. Click Quick on the main dashboard, choose Custom in the Proxy section, then One proxy and the protocol, and paste the line. A quick profile also takes a Proxy list of up to 25 lines.
