1. What this policy covers
Company details will be published here after registration. This policy explains how we use cookies and similar storage on aeonproxy.com and in our customer dashboard (the "Dashboard"), where you manage your account with us (your "Account"). "You" means anyone who visits our website or uses the Dashboard. This policy works together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we use personal data.
2. Cookies and similar storage
A cookie is a small text file that a website saves in your browser. The website can read it again on later visits. Websites can also save information in your browser in other ways, for example with localStorage, which stays until it is deleted, or sessionStorage, which is deleted when you close the browser tab. In this policy, "cookies" means cookies and these similar technologies.
Some cookies are strictly necessary: the site cannot provide a function you asked for without them. Other cookies need your consent in some countries, for example in the European Union and the United Kingdom.
3. Cookies and storage we use
| Name | Type | Purpose | Lifetime | Consent needed? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
ap_session | Cookie | Keeps you signed in to the Dashboard and protects your Account from unauthorized access | Until you sign out or your session ends: 1 day, or up to 30 days if you choose "Keep me signed in for 30 days" | No, strictly necessary |
ap-consent | localStorage | Remembers the choices you make in the cookie settings, so that we respect them | Until you change your choices or clear your browser data | No, strictly necessary |
ap_support | Cookie | Links your browser to your live chat conversation, so that it and our replies stay with you between pages and visits. Set only when you send a message in the chat or a form on our site | 365 days | No, needed for the chat you opened |
ap-chat | localStorage | Remembers the state of the live chat widget on your device | Until you clear your browser data | No, needed for the chat function |
ap-theme | localStorage | Remembers the theme you chose in the Dashboard, such as light or dark | Until you change it or clear your browser data | No, it stores a choice you made |
ap-sb | localStorage | Remembers whether you collapsed the Dashboard sidebar | Until you clear your browser data | No, it stores a choice you made |
ap_ref | Cookie | Records the affiliate referral code from a link you followed (?ref= in the address), so that the affiliate can be credited if you create an Account | 365 days | Yes, where the law requires consent. Where it does, we set this cookie only after you consent |
We do not use third-party advertising cookies, and we do not use cookies to track you across other websites.
Referral codes without a cookie. You do not need to accept the ap_ref cookie to support an affiliate. You can enter the affiliate's personal referral code when you sign up, and we record it on your Account without using a cookie.
Analytics. We do not use website analytics or other tracking tools. If we add any, we will update this policy first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
Services of other companies. If you choose to sign in with Google, or follow a link to our Telegram channel or support bot, Google or Telegram may use their own cookies on their own pages under their own policies. We do not control those cookies.
4. Which cookies need your consent
Strictly necessary cookies do not need consent. These are the sign-in cookie, the record of your cookie choices and the chat storage. We also do not ask for consent for the theme preference, because it only stores a choice you made.
The ap_ref referral cookie needs consent in the European Union, the United Kingdom and other places where the law requires it.
Where we ask for your consent, we do so through the cookie settings on our site. Consent is optional. If you do not consent, the website and Dashboard still work, and you can still enter a referral code at signup.
5. How to give or withdraw consent
- Cookie settings on our site. Use the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page to give, change or withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect use that took place before you withdrew it.
- Browser settings. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and other site data. You can usually find these options under "Privacy" or "Security" in your browser's settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, you will not be able to sign in to the Dashboard.
- Deleting stored data. Clearing your browser's cookies and site data removes everything listed above from your device, including the
ap_refcookie.
6. Changes
We update this policy when we add, remove or change cookies or similar storage. We will post the new version on this page and change the date at the top. If we want to use a cookie that needs consent for a new purpose, we will ask for your consent first.
