AdsPower proxy setup
Give each AdsPower profile its own sticky residential or mobile line: paste it in the profile's Proxy section, or load many lines on the Proxies page.
- Protocols
- HTTP, HTTPS, Socks 5 and SSH. Use HTTP (port 7000) or Socks 5 (port 7001)
- UDP
- Not documented through the proxy; WebRTC Replace and Forward show the proxy's IP
- Where the setting is
- New profile → Proxy → Custom, the Proxies page, or Bulk Create
- Line format
host:port:user:pass, which AdsPower reads asIP:port:username:password- Works with
- Residential and mobile proxies
Before you start
- AdsPower installed, with one profile per account you work in: your own, a client's ads account you manage with their access, or a QA test, within each platform's rules.
- Your login and password from the Residential or Mobile page, and traffic on that product (without it the gateway answers 402).
- Lines from the generator on the same page: Session Sticky, Session time 60 min, Protocol HTTP, Format
host:port:user:pass, as many lines as you have profiles. Every line gets its own session key.
- Host
gate.aeonproxy.com- Port (HTTP / HTTPS)
7000- Port (SOCKS5)
7001- Login
- your proxy login, with targeting keys if you need them:
LOGIN-cc-us-sid-abc123 - Password
- your proxy password
Copy the login and password from the Residential or Mobile page of the dashboard; the generator there also writes ready lines. Key syntax: targeting and sessions.
Add the proxy to one profile
- Click New profile in the upper left corner, or edit a profile, and open the Proxy section.
- Click Custom and set Proxy type to HTTP, not HTTPS: port 7000 expects plain HTTP and still opens HTTPS sites. For port 7001, choose Socks 5.
- Paste a generated line into Host:Port, for example
gate.aeonproxy.com:7000:LOGIN-cc-us-st-texas-sid-ads01-ttl-60:PASSWORD. AdsPower fills in the host, port, Proxy username and Proxy Password. - Click Check Proxy. When the test passes, click OK.
Add many lines at once
- Proxies → Add Proxy: paste the lines, one per line, and click OK; profiles then take them under Saved Proxies. The Proxy type column must then show HTTP. AdsPower's examples show a login only in lines without a protocol, so if it shows another type, and for SOCKS5 lines, set the line in the profile, where you pick the type.
- Bulk Create (the + icon on the Profiles page) → Mass import: in the Excel or txt template, set
proxytypetohttpandproxyto the profile's own line (socks5for a port 7001 line).
Random assignment (the blue loop button, or proxyid=random in the import) can put two profiles on one line and one IP. To avoid it, click Settings in the upper right corner of the Proxies page and select among non-used proxies.
Check the proxy
On the Proxies page, tick lines and click Check proxy: a green outbound IP passed, red failed, gray is waiting. The location comes from the profile's IP checker (IP2Location or ip-api), and the two databases can disagree on the city. Inside the running profile, open the IP checker for the IP, time zone, WebRTC and DNS results that sites get.
Rotating or sticky
Profiles need sticky lines. A rotating login (no -sid-) takes a new IP for every connection, so the outbound IP on the Proxies page is not the one the profile gets, and one page can load from several IPs. Use rotating lines only to test the login.
LOGIN-cc-us-st-texas-sid-ads01-ttl-60 # profile 1
LOGIN-cc-us-st-texas-sid-ads02-ttl-60 # profile 2-ttl-60 is the longest a sticky IP lasts; no residential or mobile IP can be kept for days. After 60 minutes the line gets a new IP, again in Texas. Keep each profile's key and targeting, and it always comes back from the same state.
If it does not work
| What you see | What to check |
|---|---|
| The profile's Check Proxy fails | The type and port: HTTP with 7000, Socks 5 with 7001. Then the login and password. A key the gateway does not know, such as a misspelled state, gets 407. |
| Every proxy fails, even ones that work in other browsers | AdsPower's guide: on Windows, delete the HTTP_PROXY and HTTPS_PROXY environment variables; on macOS, turn off Web Proxy (HTTP) and SOCKS Proxy for your network. |
| The check hangs with the type HTTPS | Switch to HTTP: port 7000 does not speak TLS to the app. |
| A profile loaded pages, then stopped | 402: no traffic left, or a sub-user reached its limit. 502: one exit failed; reload, and the line keeps its key. |
Questions
No, leave it empty: the gateway has no change-IP link. For a new IP, change the profile's session key (-sid-ads01 to -sid-ads01b) and save; the IP also renews itself after the -ttl- minutes.
Replace or Forward: both show the proxy's IP instead of yours. Real exposes the IP of your own connection. Disabled, the default, turns WebRTC off and can break video calls.
They can, but then they share one IP, and sites can link the accounts. The generator writes up to 500 lines at once, so give each profile its own.
