NekoBox proxy setup

NekoBox for Android is a sing-box client that runs as a VPN. A SOCKS5 profile with your login sends all apps, or the ones you pick, through a residential or mobile IP.

Protocols
SOCKS5 and HTTP profiles with username and password
UDP
Yes: SOCKS profiles carry UDP in VPN mode (keep UDP over TCP off)

Residential and mobile proxies

Before you start

  • NekoBox for Android 1.4 or newer from the project's GitHub releases. The desktop app of the same family (NekoRay / NekoBox for PC) is no longer maintained: its repository is archived and its last release came out in December 2024. On a computer use v2rayN or Clash Verge Rev.
  • Your proxy login and password from the Residential or Mobile page of the dashboard.
  • Traffic on the product you use: a login without traffic is refused.

7001
Login
your proxy login, with targeting keys if you need them: LOGIN-cc-us-sid-abc123
Password
your proxy password

Copy the login and password from the Residential or Mobile page of the dashboard; the generator there also writes ready lines. Key syntax: targeting and sessions.

Add the proxy

  1. Tap + (Add Profile) at the top of the main screen, then Manual Settings → SOCKS.
  2. Profile Name: a name such as AeonProxy DE. Version: SOCKS5.
  3. Server: gate.aeonproxy.com. Remote Port: 7001.
  4. Username (Optional): your login with keys, for example LOGIN-cc-de-sid-nb01-ttl-30. Password (Optional): your password.
  5. Leave UDP over TCP off. It is a sing-box protocol our gateway does not speak; UDP reaches the gateway through SOCKS5 UDP ASSOCIATE without it.
  6. Save, select the profile and tap the connect button. Android asks once to allow the VPN connection.

Or copy a link with your login and use + → Import from Clipboard:

socks5://LOGIN-cc-de-sid-nb01-ttl-30:[email protected]:7001#AeonProxy-DE

An http://LOGIN:[email protected]:7000 link imports as an HTTP profile. In a hand-made HTTP profile keep Transport layer encryption off: port 7000 is a plain HTTP proxy.

Check the proxy

While connected, the bar at the bottom reads Connected, tap to check connection. Tap it: *Success: HTTPS handshake took … ms* means the gateway accepted the login. Then open /ip-checker in a browser. The IP and country should be the exit's, and so should the WebRTC test, since UDP goes through the proxy too.

Rotating or sticky

Phone apps reconnect whenever the network changes, and with a rotating login every new connection gets a new IP. Apps you stay signed in to work better with the sticky key from the example: one exit for 30 minutes (60 at most), then a new IP in the same country. Keep a few profiles with different keys or countries; selecting another profile changes the exit.

Which apps use it

In Settings, Service Mode decides how apps reach the proxy. VPN catches every app, UDP included. Proxy only opens a local proxy that only apps set up for it will use. Apps VPN mode limits the VPN to the apps you choose, or leaves chosen apps out.

Questions

Not a maintained one: the desktop app (NekoRay / NekoBox for PC) is archived. For a computer, v2rayN and Clash Verge Rev take the same SOCKS5 details.

It wraps UDP inside a TCP stream for servers that run sing-box. Our gateway relays real UDP over SOCKS5, so with the switch on, UDP fails.

Yes: Apps VPN mode in Settings picks the apps that use the VPN, or the ones that skip it.
