With a pool this size a town can have few exits or none at a given hour, and geolocation databases spell Lao names differently, so check the exit in our IP checker before you rely on the place.
Unitel, registered as Star Telecom, and Lao Telecom carry nearly all Lao users in APNIC’s estimate, with ETL far behind at 4.84%. Exits come from households and phones on these networks. AIS told the Thai stock exchange that Lao Telecom has the largest market share and, with its subsidiary T-Plus, had 2.48 million mobile subscribers at the end of 2025.

Users: APNIC Labs, 2 November 2026, 60-day window, 19 networks adding up to 113.74%. AIS counts subscribers and APNIC estimates users, so their rankings differ (Light Reading, 21 October 2026). We found no ministry table of shares. Satellite, hosting and bank networks (Lao Asia Pacific Satellite, Starlink, Cloudflare, GSL Networks, Datacamp, M247) are left out. Carrier and ISP keys are limited to US, UK and German logins, so take the network from a lookup’s ASN.
APNIC had Lao IPv6 capability near 0.1% for a year, then a climb from late September 2026. In its per-network table Unitel reads 15.71%, and the other Lao networks stay under 0.25%. South-Eastern Asia as a whole stands at 37.32%.

https://ipinfo.io/jsonThe Bank of the Lao PDR set its reference rate at 22,390 kip per dollar on 5 November 2026 and quoted the baht at 670.90 to buy and 681.20 to sell. Tags in Laos mix them. Yula prints LAK and has a menu for USD and THB, RentsBuy lists rents in dollars, and Unitel’s plans are in kip.
Thai addresses also rank high. Eight of the 90 domains Ahrefs prints in its Lao top 100 end in .th, among them tmd.go.th, the Thai weather service, at 14th against laosweather.com at 58th. One ends in .la. Store the currency and the site’s country beside each figure.
The Law on Cybersecurity (No. 87/NA of 25 June 2025, gazetted on 20 March 2026) requires those who provide services or disseminate information through internet systems to register with the Ministry of Technology and Communications (Article 62). Article 63 bans access to systems, networks, programs and data without authorisation. Article 10 of the Law on Cyber Crime (No. 61/NA of 2015) covers entering a protected computer system or taking commercial, financial or secret data. DLA Piper reads the Law on Electronic Data Protection (No. 25/NA of 2017) as requiring the owner’s consent to collect any electronic data and to send personal data abroad, so keep names and numbers out of your records.
Xinhua reported in February 2025 that the ministry forbids individuals, companies and providers to connect Lao telecom and internet systems to foreign networks without prior authorisation. We did not find the notice itself, and the report names no VPN or proxy and does not say how the rule treats one person’s connection. Using our service for such a link is not supported. Decree 327/GOV of 2014 requires a true name and address when creating a social media account (Article 8). The definitions we read in these Lao-language texts name neither VPNs nor proxies.
Not legal advice. The Official Gazette copies are scans in Lao and the English here is our own translation; we read the articles named and the definitions, not every article of each text. Court rulings on scraping: our 2022 to 2026 review.Join @aeonprox, link our bot and test residential or mobile proxies for 72 hours. No card needed.
It puts a Lao IP address in front of your requests, on a home or phone line in the country. Typical jobs are reading Yula.la ads, seeing how a Thai shop treats a Lao visitor, and checking Google results for gl=la.
We have 1K+ residential IPs in the pool, October 2026, a number that moves as homes connect and disconnect. There is no separate count for mobile; see the order page for what is available.
Your login sets the country and no more. Provinces and towns appear in the dashboard generator, where available. Lao names have several spellings (Pakse or Pakxe, Luang Prabang or Louangphabang), so check the exit in our IP checker before you depend on a town.
They come from homes and phones on Unitel, Lao Telecom, ETL and smaller ISPs such as Sky Telecom. Star Telecom is the company behind Unitel, so AS131267 prints that name. No login can choose a network, because those keys exist for the US, the UK and Germany only.
The mobile brands are Unitel, Lao Telecom, its subsidiary T-Plus, and ETL. Exits use them where the pool has them; availability is on the order page. AIS cites 4.4 million mobile subscribers nationally.
Laos offers those two; for static IPs, the order page names the countries that have them. Choose residential for listings and search, where it costs less. Mobile, $0.50 dearer per GB, suits pages made for phones, the source of 86.67% of Lao page views in October 2026.
Residential starts at $3.49 per GB and reaches $1.69 on the largest orders. Mobile goes from $3.99 to $2.19. Each tier and the present free trial terms sit on the pricing page.
Yula defaults to kip with dollars and baht in a menu, RentsBuy shows dollars, and Lao Airlines offers kip only on domestic trips, so the answer changes from site to site. Record the symbol on the page with every price.
The Lao texts we read do not name proxies or VPNs. The Cybersecurity Law bans unauthorised access (Article 63), and DLA Piper reads the 2017 data law as requiring consent to collect electronic data. Xinhua reported a 2025 ministry notice that forbids linking Lao systems to foreign networks without authorisation; such a link is not a supported use. Not legal advice.
An unknown operator can read or change what you send, passwords included. Run a lookup first: AS131267, AS9873 or AS10226 with country LA suggests a Lao line, whereas M247, Datacamp or GSL Networks, which also show up in APNIC’s Lao table, suggest a rented server.
Your browser extension, app or HTTP client needs host gate.aeonproxy.com, port 7000, username ap_a1b2c3-cc-la and your password. Put -sid-vte01-time-3600 after the username to stay on one exit for an hour. The docs explain SOCKS5.
