Areas: GBoS, preliminary report, August 2024. Towns: 2013 census via City Population, the latest we found with town figures. GeoNames has no first-level row for Kanifing. Where available, exits also come from places such as Serekunda, Bakau, Barra, Bijilo and Brusubi. A town can have few exits at a given moment, so open the exit in our IP checker before you rely on it.
APNIC Labs gives Africell 37.48% of Gambian users, QCell 26.92% and Comium 25.39%. PURA’s subscriber counts for 2024 rank them the same way and add Gamcel, the smallest, on 2%. APNIC estimates each share separately, so the column passes 100%.

Users: APNIC Labs, 2 November 2026. IPv6: to 3 November 2026, when 0.41% of Gambian users were capable, the lowest of 17 entries in its Western Africa table, which averages 9.31%. Subscribers: PURA, Annual Report 2024; its rounded shares add to 101%, and Gamcel has no ASN of its own in APNIC’s table. Africell announced 2,048 IPv4 addresses (merged, RIPEstat, 5 November 2026) against APNIC’s 204,953 users, about 100 per address. Satellite, hosting and cloud networks are left out. ISP and carrier keys exist only for US, UK and German logins.
PURA counted 20,658 fixed internet subscribers in 2024, against 3,050,659 on mobile internet. Gamtel has the most.
PURA, Annual Report 2024; the total is our sum of its table. On mobile, Comium grew from 72,762 subscribers in 2022 to 616,133 in 2024, which PURA puts down to its relaunch and pricing.

https://ipinfo.io/jsonWithin a year PURA capped data prices and lengthened mobile numbers. A number published before September 2026 stays seven digits long until someone edits the page.
D75 per GB announced for mobile data, according to Askanwi; we did not find PURA’s own notice. PURA’s average for 1 GB in 2024 was GMD 106.25.
On 6 January Askanwi found only Comium under it, at D65, with others as high as D130.
Gamcel at D60, and Africell, QCell and Comium at D65, as Askanwi reported.
PURA adds a prefix ahead of the existing seven digits: 87 for Africell, 83 for QCell and 86 for Comium.
A midnight switch for all active numbers. PURA tells businesses to update signs, invoices and websites, and runs support to November.
Gamcel is not named in the notice. If you store business numbers, expect both lengths for a while and compare on the last seven digits.
Tech Hive Advisory’s review calls the law the Personal Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2025, with the Information Commission as regulator. The bill the National Assembly lists as assented applies to processing abroad when it relates to individuals in The Gambia (section 3). Its section 16 makes it an offence to knowingly or recklessly obtain or keep personal data without the controller’s authorisation, for financial gain or to cause harm, with up to three years in prison. Collect prices and places, and leave out private sellers’ names and numbers.
Section 163 of the Information and Communications Act, 2009 punishes access to a computer system that you know is unauthorised with a fine of 200,000 dalasis, up to five years in prison, or both; express or implied consent is a defence. A word search of the text PURA publishes finds no proxy or VPN, and that text sets no registration or licence aimed at their users. Betting sites are not a supported use.
Not legal advice. We did not find a gazetted copy of the Act, sources differ on when it was assented to, and a published review gives different fines from the bill, so we quote no date or fine. Later amendments to the 2009 Act were not traced. Rulings on scraping from 2022 to 2026: our court-case guide.Join @aeonprox, link our bot and test residential or mobile proxies for 72 hours. It routes your traffic through a Gambian IP address on a home or phone line, so sites respond as they would to someone in The Gambia. Use one for CarGambia and Gamjobs listings, bundle prices in dalasi or results with gl=gm. Neighbouring Senegal has its own page.
2K+ residential IPs in the pool, October 2026. That figure moves as people’s connections come and go. Mobile lines have no separate count; the order page shows whether they are available.
Logins select The Gambia as a whole, with -cc-gm. Areas and towns on offer, where available, appear in the dashboard generator. Treat a lookup’s city with care: GeoLite prints Banjul on blocks from Africell, Comium, Gamtel and Netpage, and the capital has 26,461 residents. Open the exit in our IP checker first.
Households and phones on Africell, QCell, Comium and Gamtel, plus fixed lines from providers such as DK Telecom and Netpage. Mobile exits run on Africell, QCell, Comium and Gamcel where the pool has them, and the order page shows availability. No login here selects a network: those keys are limited to the US, the UK and Germany.
The Gambia has residential and mobile to choose from, and the order page names the countries that have static IPs. Residential is the cheaper way to collect CarGambia listings and search results. Mobile, $0.50 dearer per GB, suits phone layouts: phones made 72.8% of Gambian page views in October 2026.
Residential traffic costs $3.49 per GB at the first tier and $1.69 at the last. Mobile goes from $3.99 to $2.19. ISP IPs are $4.00 and datacenter IPs $2.00 a month in the countries on the order page. Tiers and the current free trial terms are on the pricing page.
Each seller picks. Gamcel and Comium charge in dalasi, CarGambia switches between GMD and USD, The Gambia Experience sells in pounds, and Gambia Property Shop uses £, € and $. Store the symbol with every amount (tag_price() in the Python tab does this) and convert later.
PURA moved mobile numbers from seven to nine digits on 4 September 2026 by adding a prefix: 87 for Africell, 83 for QCell, 86 for Comium. Pages written earlier may still print seven.
A word search of the 2009 Act finds nothing on proxies or VPNs, and we did not trace later amendments. Section 163 covers access you know is unauthorised, and the data protection act covers personal data, including processing abroad. Not legal advice.
Nobody tells you who operates a free proxy, and that operator can log or alter your traffic, passwords included. Test an address first: AS37524, AS37309, AS37552 or AS25250 with country GM means a Gambian network.
Use gate.aeonproxy.com port 7000 in your browser extension, app or HTTP client, with the username ap_a1b2c3-cc-gm and your password. For a fixed exit add -sid-bjl01-time-3600, which holds it for an hour. SOCKS5 setup is in the docs.
