General questions

What AeonProxy sells, how to get started and what the proxies may be used for. Product, billing and error questions have their own pages.

Short answers to the questions we hear most before a first purchase. Most answers link to the guide or the part of the gateway documentation with the details.

What does AeonProxy sell?

Residential and mobile proxies, paid per GB of traffic. Residential exits are home internet connections, mobile exits are connections on mobile carrier networks. Both run through one gateway, and the traffic you buy never expires.

ISP and datacenter proxies are listed on the site but are not on sale yet.

How do I get started?

Create an account, top up the balance and buy traffic on the Residential or Mobile page of the dashboard. The same page shows your proxy login and password, and its generator writes ready proxy lines in the format your tool expects.

Then add the gateway to your tool. The setup guides cover antidetect browsers, web browsers, operating systems, phones, proxy clients and code, and the quickstart has a one-line test.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. The free trial gives you residential or mobile traffic to test with after you confirm your email, link our Telegram bot and join our Telegram channel. It is one per person. The trial page shows its size, how long it lasts and its lighter limits, and Sign-up and free trial walks through the steps.

Trial traffic ends with the trial. Traffic you buy afterwards never expires and has none of the trial limits.

Which protocols are supported?

HTTP and HTTPS on port 7000 and SOCKS5 on port 7001 of gate.aeonproxy.com, for residential and mobile alike. SOCKS5 carries UDP as well as TCP (UDP ASSOCIATE), so QUIC, DNS and other UDP traffic leave from the same exit IP.

In an app's proxy settings, choose the type HTTP for port 7000, also for HTTPS sites. The proxy opens an encrypted tunnel to the site with CONNECT. An app set to "HTTPS" tries to start TLS with the proxy itself and hangs. More in SOCKS5 and UDP.

Can I connect without a login and password?

No. Residential and mobile proxies use a login and password only; there is no access by source address. Your login starts with ap_, and the password is on the product page of the dashboard. Any tool that supports proxy authentication can use them.

Location and session settings go into the login itself, as in LOGIN-cc-us-sid-abc12345, so one login and password cover every country. The syntax is in targeting.

Is there a limit on threads or connections?

Not on traffic you buy: run as many parallel connections as your tool needs. You pay for traffic, counted in GB with the bytes in both directions, not for threads, IPs or requests.

Sites have their own limits. Keep your request rate reasonable for the size of the site and slow down when it answers 429 or 503, as our Acceptable Use Policy asks.

Can my team or my apps have separate logins?

Yes. Create sub-users on the Sub-users tab of the Residential or Mobile page. Each has its own login, password and traffic limit taken from your plan (0 means no limit within the plan). When a sub-user reaches its limit, its connections get 402. The steps are in Sub-users.

Sub-users are for your own team, projects and apps. Giving them to people outside your organization, such as clients, counts as resale, which the Terms of Service allow only with our written consent.

Do you have an API?

Yes. The REST API at https://aeonproxy.com/api/v1 generates proxy lists, manages sub-users, reads usage by hour or day, lists countries, regions, cities and ISPs, shows your orders and invoices, and buys traffic from the balance. It uses the API key from Settings → API. Top-ups cannot go through it yet: they start in the dashboard's Wallet.

Endpoints, parameters and code samples are in the API reference.

What can I use the proxies for?

Lawful work such as collecting public web data, checking prices and ads in other countries, monitoring search results, testing your own sites and apps from other locations, managing your own accounts within each platform's rules, and keeping your own IP address private.

Not allowed, among others: fraud, attacks, spam, fake or bulk-operated accounts, access to accounts that are not yours, ticket bots and collecting personal data without a lawful basis. The full list is in the Acceptable Use Policy.

Which sites are blocked?

A few targets are blocked for every account by default: mail ports 25, 465, 587 and 2525, .gov and .mil sites, and some banking and ticketing sites. The gateway answers 403, and its X-Reason header says which rule applied.

If you have a legitimate need to reach a blocked site, ask support. After an identity check we may open specific sites for your account; the mail ports stay closed. The rules are in section 4 of the Acceptable Use Policy.

Do you keep logs of the sites I visit?

No. The gateway does not store the websites, domains or URLs you visit, or the content of your requests. It keeps a session log (account or sub-user, session, your client IP, start and end time) for 14 days for security and abuse investigation, as the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy describe.

How do I contact support?

Through the live chat on any page of the site, or the contact page. For a connection problem, send the proxy line without the password, the time it happened and the error your tool showed.
