https://ipinfo.io/jsonAirtel Lanka became part of Dialog in 2024, and from 1 July 2026 foreign firms selling digital services to people in Sri Lanka must register for VAT once their sales pass a threshold.
Dialog completes its amalgamation with Bharti Airtel Lanka, which ceases to exist as a company; the Airtel brand stays in use.
Dialog reports 18,926,755 customers and over 1,000 5G base station sites across all nine provinces.
Dialog launches Air Fibre, a 5G-powered Wi-Fi service that needs no fixed-line infrastructure.
TRCSL records 29,419,289 mobile subscriptions on three licensed cellular operators, Dialog, Mobitel and Hutch.
Under the VAT (Amendment) Act No. 14 of 2026, a non-resident firm supplying services through an electronic platform to people in Sri Lanka must register once its sales pass 60 million rupees in twelve months or 15 million in a quarter. Compare foreign app and subscription prices across this date with care.
According to the Data Protection Authority of Sri Lanka, Extraordinary Gazette No. 2498/16 of 22 July 2026 brings the core of the Personal Data Protection Act No. 9 of 2022, as amended, into operation on 1 January 2027: sections 2 and 3, Part I on lawful processing and Part III on controllers and processors, with data protection officers, breach notices and impact assessments. Collect prices, counts and rankings, and leave the names and phone numbers in ikman or Daraz listings alone.
Under section 3 of the Computer Crime Act No. 24 of 2007, intentionally securing access to a computer, or to information held in one, without lawful authority is an offence, punishable by a fine of up to 100,000 rupees, up to five years in prison, or both. Section 4 raises the fine to 200,000 rupees when the access is meant to commit a further offence. The Sri Lankan acts we read set no licence, registration or ban for VPN or proxy use.

Your traffic leaves through an address on a Sri Lankan network such as Dialog, SLTMobitel or Hutch, so websites treat the request as local. Use it to read ikman listings and Daraz’s rupee prices as a local visitor sees them, or to check google.lk rankings and what a foreign store quotes a buyer in Colombo.
9K+ residential IPs in the pool, October 2026. Mobile exits have no separate count; they run on Dialog, SLTMobitel and Hutch where the pool has them, and the order page lists what is available now. The residential figure rises and falls with the households behind it.
Only the country goes into the login, as -cc-lk. For provinces and cities, the dashboard generator shows what Sri Lanka has on offer, where available. To stay in one area, read the region in each lookup and drop exits elsewhere, then confirm the town in our IP checker, since city names for one address vary between databases.
Homes and phones on Dialog, which APNIC credits with 58.64% of Sri Lankan users, on SLTMobitel’s mobile and fixed networks (20.81% and 10.79%) and on Hutch’s two networks (7.24% and 6.38%). Carrier keys work only for US, UK and German logins, so sort Sri Lankan exits by ASN.
Not as a company. Airtel Lanka was amalgamated into Dialog on 30 August 2024, with Dialog as the surviving entity, and the Airtel brand carries on inside it. TRCSL’s list of cellular operators for Q2 2026 names three: Hutchison, Mobitel and Dialog.
Hutch announces addresses from AS17470 and AS132447, both registered to Hutchison Telecommunications Lanka at 234 Galle Road, Colombo. PeeringDB lists AS17470 under the name Etisalat Lanka, with Hutch as its other name. Map both ASNs to Hutch, as the Python tab does.
Rotating residential exits suit classifieds, shop prices and search. Desktops produced 74.32% of Sri Lankan page views in September 2026, so give the desktop layout as much attention as the mobile one; mobile exits, $0.50 more per GB, fit app checks, and Android ran 84.92% of mobile traffic. Accounts of your own, under each platform’s rules, go on a static ISP address; Sri Lankan stock is shown on the order page.
Section 3 of the Computer Crime Act No. 24 of 2007 makes it an offence to gain access to a computer without lawful authority, and the core of the Personal Data Protection Act applies from 1 January 2027. Neither act, nor any other Sri Lankan law we read, requires registration or a licence for proxy or VPN use or bans it. Not legal advice.
A free proxy hands your traffic, cookies and passwords to an operator you know nothing about. In a lookup, a Sri Lankan home or phone line shows AS18001, AS45356, AS9329, AS17470 or AS132447; if the holder is a cloud or hosting company, the address sits in a data centre.
In any app, extension or library that takes an HTTP proxy, use host gate.aeonproxy.com, port 7000, user ap_a1b2c3-cc-lk and your password. Add -sid-cmb01-time-900 for a 15-minute session on one exit. The docs explain SOCKS5, and current free trial terms are on the pricing page.
