APNIC Labs, 1 November 2026: Mauritius Telecom, ahead of Emtel at 24.07%.
APNIC’s reading for 2 November 2026, when Eastern Africa stood at 4.89%. Expect IPv4 on Mauritian exits.
A -sid- key with -time- keeps your exit for 60 to 21600 seconds. With no session key, requests rotate one by one.

Mauritian shops quote in rupees, written Rs with comma thousands. Galaxy states that all its prices include VAT and delivers free above Rs 2,000. MyCar sets a monthly figure beside each vehicle price: a Nissan Qashqai on 3 November 2026 read Rs 2,630,000 and Rs 27,073 a month, conditions apply. Winners can show two prices on one product, such as Rs 95.30 and Rs 82.95, and lists its stores in a selector.
MyJob and Winners set their pages in English, although Winners names its shelves in French, and Defimedia publishes in French. At home, 90.0% of residents speak only Creole and 4.4% only French (2022 census). Run search phrases in both English and French.
Desktop rank checks need Bing, which held 17.59% of desktop searches in October 2026 and 7.5% across all devices; Google had 91.19% overall (StatCounter). Phones produced 60.18% of page views, and 80.11% of mobile traffic came from Android. SERP proxies covers both engines.
Statistics Mauritius estimated 1,240,316 residents on 1 July 2026. At the 2022 census, five towns held 39.0% of the population: Port Louis, Vacoas/Phoenix, Beau Bassin/Rose Hill, Quatre Bornes and Curepipe. A Mauritian login sets the country alone, -cc-mu, and the dashboard generator lists the districts and towns on offer.
Population: Statistics Mauritius, 2022 census, Table D2; shares of the 1,233,097 people enumerated. Town totals include wards in neighbouring districts. Where available, exits come from homes and phones in places such as Port Louis, Vacoas, Beau Bassin, Rose Hill, Centre de Flacq, Curepipe, Quatre Bornes, Moka, Floréal and Mahébourg. Before a job depends on the town, open the exit in our IP checker, because databases can file one address under different towns.
In APNIC Labs’ estimate Mauritius Telecom’s network, sold as my.t, reaches 75.64% of Mauritian internet users and Emtel 24.07%, 99.71% between them. Liquid follows at 2.17%, and MTML, the company behind CHiLi, at 1.85%. Three companies hold mobile network licences from ICTA, the regulator: Cellplus, a Mauritius Telecom subsidiary, Emtel and MTML.

Users: APNIC Labs, 1 November 2026, 60-day window; the full table adds up to 104.29%, as each share is its own estimate. IPv6: APNIC to 2 November 2026; a year earlier the country read 1.00%. Cloud and satellite networks such as Cloudflare and Starlink are left out. Trade reports disagree on shares of lines and ICTA’s pages give totals only, so none is printed. Carrier keys exist only for US, UK and German logins; on a Mauritian exit the ASN that a lookup returns names the network.
ICTA counted 2,155,400 mobile subscriptions at the end of 2025, 173.61 for every 100 residents, and 2,241,100 internet subscriptions.
ICTA observatory pages and mobile workbook, year ended 2025, rounded to the nearest hundred. The 2024 mobile total was 2,195,100.

The login holds one exit under -cc-mu for half an hour. It checks the country first, drops Rodrigues unless you allow it and puts double-name towns under one label.

https://ipinfo.io/jsonPort Louis is larger than its district. The town had 140,403 residents at the 2022 census and Port Louis district 106,332. The other 34,071, about a quarter of the town, live in wards the census files under Moka and Black River: Ward 2-South has 12,143 people in Moka and Ward 1-West 21,359 in Black River. A filter on the district name misses them.
Statistics Mauritius treats Vacoas/Phoenix and Beau Bassin/Rose Hill as single towns of 107,433 and 92,149 people. Place lists print Vacoas, Rose Hill and Beau Bassin-Rose Hill as separate entries, so merge those names before you total anything by town.
Rodrigues, the Republic’s second island by population, had 45,012 residents on 1 July 2026, 3.63% of the total. GeoNames gives it a region of its own and my.t has a separate menu for Rodrigues offers. Decide at the start whether a price survey includes it.
The Data Protection Act 2017 (Act 20 of 2017) came into force on 15 January 2018. The Data Protection Office, headed by the Data Protection Commissioner, is its regulator. Leave names and phone numbers in car and job ads out of what you store.
Section 7 of the Cybersecurity and Cybercrime Act 2021 (Act No. 16 of 2021) makes gaining unauthorised access to a program or data in a computer system an offence, with a fine of up to one million rupees and penal servitude of up to 10 years. Section 24 of the ICT Act 2001 requires a licence to operate an information and communication network or service. Neither Act names proxies or VPNs, and no rule on using them appeared in the texts we read; regulations under the ICT Act were not among them, so one may exist there. The Gambling Regulatory Authority licenses betting operators, and gambling sites are not a supported use.

It is an address on a network such as my.t or Emtel that carries your requests. With a Mauritian IP, local sites respond as they would to someone on the island. People use one for rupee prices on Galaxy and MyCar and job ads on MyJob, and to check gl=mu search results.
20K+ residential IPs in the pool, October 2026. That number rises and falls as home connections come and go. We publish no mobile IP count: mobile exits use my.t, Emtel and CHiLi where the pool has them, and the order page shows availability.
This page’s login chooses the country only, -cc-mu. See the dashboard generator for any districts and towns on offer, where available. Town data disagrees between geolocation databases, so test an exit in our IP checker before relying on Port Louis or Curepipe.
APNIC credits my.t (AS23889) and Emtel (AS30999) with 99.71% of Mauritian users between them, and home and phone exits come from those two and from Liquid (AS30844), CHiLi (AS37622) and Atcomm (AS328019). Network keys are limited to US, UK and German logins, so read the ASN in a lookup to see which one you got.
Yes, where the pool has them. ICTA’s licence list names Cellplus, part of the Mauritius Telecom group, Emtel and Mahanagar Telephone (Mauritius), whose brand is CHiLi. Mobile costs $0.50 more per GB than residential, and the order page confirms availability.
Residential and mobile are what you can buy for Mauritius, and the order page lists the countries with static ISP or datacenter IPs. Run listings, prices and search results through rotating residential exits; keep mobile for app checks and phone layouts.
The census files part of Port Louis town under those two districts, 34,071 residents in all, so a district field need not match the town. Keep both fields when you store a lookup.
The texts we read, the ICT Act 2001 among them, name neither proxies nor VPNs, and no rule on using them appeared, though regulations we did not read may hold one. The rules to know are section 7 of the Cybersecurity and Cybercrime Act 2021 on unauthorised access and the Data Protection Act 2017 on personal data you collect. Not legal advice.
Nobody can tell you who runs a free proxy or what it keeps, and its operator can read anything you send unencrypted. In a lookup, a cloud or hosting name means a rented server; a local line shows AS23889 or AS30999 with country MU.
Any browser extension, app or HTTP client with proxy settings will do. Use host gate.aeonproxy.com, port 7000, username ap_a1b2c3-cc-mu and your password. Adding -sid-plu01-time-14400 keeps one exit for four hours. SOCKS5 is in the docs, and the pricing page gives the free trial’s present terms.
Traffic is on sale on the pricing page: residential from $3.49 per GB on small orders to $1.69 on large ones, mobile from $3.99 to $2.19. Static products, ISP at $4.00 and datacenter at $2.00 per IP per month, apply in the countries listed on the order page.
