Why Gabon

What a Gabonese IP is used to read

Property

Asking prices in FCFA, from a house to a plot

Gaboncoin’s weekly trend list on 3 November 2026 ran from a villa at La Sablière at 230,000,000 FCFA to a plot there at 900,000,000 FCFA, and the same page offered a Libreville house to let at 300,000 FCFA.

Telecoms

Fibre plans priced on the page

Canalbox prints 25,000 FCFA a month for 50 Mb/s and 45,000 FCFA for 200 Mb/s.

Search

French-language results, and Bing on desktops

Google took 94.33% of Gabonese searches in October 2026 and 99.29% on phones, while Bing reached 12.97% on desktops (StatCounter). French sites fill much of the country’s search traffic, so query with gl=ga and hl=fr; see SERP proxies.

Coverage

Libreville, Port-Gentil and the nine provinces

The census validated in August 2026 counts 3,518,621 residents, and Estuaire, the province around Libreville, holds 62.1% of them. A Gabonese login sets only the country, -cc-ga; look in the dashboard generator for the provinces and towns on offer.

Province shares come from the 2026 census totals, as reported on the day of the Court’s decision. That table stops at provinces, so the town figures beside them are from the 2013 census, the latest by commune. GeoNames spells Ngounié as Ngouni. Where available, exits also come from towns such as Koulamoutou, Makokou, Mouila, Lambaréné, Moanda and Tchibanga; open an exit in our IP checker before you rely on its town, since databases place addresses differently.

Networks

Moov Africa, Canalbox and Airtel Gabon, then smaller networks

APNIC Labs estimates that 55.88% of Gabonese internet users are on Moov Africa’s AS16058, 36.20% on Canalbox’s AS36924 and 15.59% on Airtel’s AS37616. Each share is estimated separately, so the column passes 100%.

IPv6: APNIC to 2 November 2026, when 30.90% of Gabonese users were capable, against 23.66% a year earlier and 8.07% in Middle Africa. Mobile lines: ARCEP. Cloudflare, Starlink, the hosting network M247 and the state agency ANINF are left out. Network keys exist for US, UK and German logins only, so read a Gabonese exit’s ASN in a lookup.

Subscriptions

Gabon’s 2,405,614 internet subscriptions by operator

ARCEP counted 94.43% of these as mobile at the end of March 2026. It counts SIMs and fibre contracts, while APNIC estimates users from samples per network, so the two sets of shares differ: one fibre contract can serve a whole household.

For developers

Test the country, then name the network

One Gabonese exit (-cc-ga) held for 30 minutes. The script turns down any exit whose lookup country is not GA, names the network from its ASN and stores prices with the code XAF.

import requests, uuid
GATE = "gate.aeonproxy.com:7000"
# Country key only. AS36924 (Canalbox) also holds ranges placed in eleven other
# countries, so test the country before you read the network name.
BRAND = {"AS16058": "Moov Africa Gabon Télécom", "AS36924": "Canalbox", "AS37616": "Airtel Gabon"}

def gabonese_exit(tries=10):
    for _ in range(tries):
        sid = uuid.uuid4().hex[:8]
        proxy = f"http://ap_a1b2c3-cc-ga-sid-{sid}-time-1800:PASS@{GATE}"
        try:
            geo = requests.get("https://ipinfo.io/json", proxies={"http": proxy, "https": proxy}, timeout=15).json()
        except requests.RequestException:
            continue # no answer: new session id
        if geo.get("country") != "GA":
            continue # keep Gabonese exits only
        geo["network"] = BRAND.get(geo.get("org", "").split(" ")[0], geo.get("org"))
        return proxy, geo # the same exit for 30 minutes
    return None, None

def price_xaf(label):
    # "5 800 000 CFA", "300 000 FCFA" or "Fr 1,000,000": digits, with the ISO code stored beside them
    return int("".join(c for c in label if c.isdigit())), "XAF"

proxy, geo = gabonese_exit()
if proxy:
    print(geo["ip"], geo.get("city"), geo.get("region"), geo["network"], price_xaf("300 000 FCFA"))

-time- accepts 60 to 21600 seconds, so -time-21600 is six hours; without -sid- the exit rotates on every request. ISP and carrier keys are for US, UK and German logins, which is why the ASN names the network here.

A Gabonese quirk

CFA on the price tag, XAF in your database

Gabonese sites write the same money in three ways. Gaboncoin and Canalbox print FCFA, CoinAfrique prints CFA and Expat.com prints Fr. All three mean the Central African CFA franc, ISO code XAF, issued by the BEAC for Gabon, Cameroon, Chad, the Central African Republic, Equatorial Guinea and the Republic of the Congo.

Togo and seven other West African states use a second franc, XOF, issued by the BCEAO. Both are fixed at 655.957 francs to the euro, so converted figures match even though XAF and XOF are separate currencies. CoinAfrique prints plain CFA in its Gabonese and Togolese editions alike, so a scraper shared between them has to take the code from the country of the exit.

Canalbox prints FCFA on both its Gabonese and its Togolese site, at 25,000 and 15,000 a month for 50 Mb/s and at 45,000 and 30,000 for 200 Mb/s.

Personal data, computer crime and the 2026 platform rules in Gabon

Law 001/2011 on personal data, as amended by Law 025/2023 of 12 July 2023, covers any collection, storage or use of such data by people and companies, under the independent Authority for the Protection of Personal Data and Privacy (APDPVP, articles 7 and 8). Prices and listing counts can be gathered without sellers’ names and numbers.

Law 027/2023 punishes fraudulent access to a computer system, including going beyond the access you were given, with ten years in prison and a fine of up to 100,000,000 francs, or one of the two (article 49). Providers of cryptology services must keep a technical description available to the authorities (article 47).

Ordinance 0011/PR/2026, ratified and amended by Law 003/2026 of 5 October 2026, requires users of social networks and online platforms to identify themselves (article 4). The High Authority for Communication suspended social networks on 17 February 2026 and lifted the measure on 24 October 2026. We found no Gabonese text that licenses or bans VPN or proxy use as such. Using a proxy to avoid the identification rule, or to reach a platform under a suspension order, is not supported.

Gabon proxy questions

Requests leave through an address on a Gabonese network, so sites answer as they would for someone in Libreville. Use one to read FCFA prices on Gaboncoin and CoinAfrique, follow rankings with gl=ga or view your own French-language pages from inside the country.

25K+ residential IPs in the pool, October 2026. Mobile IPs have no count of their own: mobile exits run on Moov Africa Gabon Télécom and Airtel Gabon where the pool has them, and the order page shows availability.

The login picks the country, -cc-ga. For provinces and towns, see what the dashboard generator offers, where available. Databases disagree at town level, so confirm the place in our IP checker first.

Homes and phones on the networks Gabonese people use: Moov Africa Gabon Télécom, Canalbox and Airtel Gabon, then smaller networks such as Waka and Axione Gabon. Network keys cover the US, the UK and Germany, so here a lookup’s ASN tells them apart.

Those are the two options for Gabon today, and the order page lists the countries with static ISP or datacenter IPs. Rotating residential exits suit listings, prices and search results. Mobile costs $0.50 more per GB and fits app checks and pages built for phones.

Residential traffic costs $3.49 per GB on the smallest orders and $1.69 on the largest; mobile costs $3.99 down to $2.19. Where they are on sale, ISP IPs are $4.00 and datacenter IPs $2.00 per IP per month. Buy from the pricing page, which also gives the present terms of the free trial.

None of the Gabonese texts we read licenses or bans proxies or VPNs as such. Fraudulent access to a system is a crime under article 49 of Law 027/2023, personal data falls under Law 025/2023, and Law 003/2026 makes platform users identify themselves; using a proxy to avoid that is not supported. Not legal advice.

Whoever runs a free proxy can read and keep what passes through it, passwords included, and you rarely learn who that is. Look the address up first. AS16058, AS36924 or AS37616 with country GA points to a Gabonese line; M247 or another hosting name means a rented server.

Any browser extension, app or HTTP client that takes a proxy will do. Enter host gate.aeonproxy.com, port 7000, username ap_a1b2c3-cc-ga and your password. Adding -sid-lbv01-time-7200 to the username holds one exit for two hours. The docs cover SOCKS5.

AS36924 is registered to GVA Cote d’Ivoire SAS, and PeeringDB lists it as Canal+ Telecom Africa, formerly GVA. One ASN serves many markets: on 30 October 2026 MaxMind’s GeoLite placed its ranges in 12 countries, Gabon, Togo and Uganda among them. Go by the country field, as the Python tab does.
