Siman, the department store, runs separate online shops for El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua and Costa Rica. Ahrefs’ October 2026 ranking of sites in El Salvador by estimated organic search traffic puts siman.com 13th and amazon.com 21st; its shopping list goes on with PriceSmart, the hardware chain Vidrí, Walmart and the Súper Selectos supermarkets.

In StatCounter’s September 2026 figures, computers produced 55.93% of Salvadoran page views and Android ran 80.38% of mobile traffic. Google handled 91.98% of searches overall and 98.12% on phones, with Bing at 6.96%. SERP proxies covers rank tracking from a Salvadoran exit.
The 2024 census counted 6,029,976 people, more than 1.56 million (26.4%) of them in San Salvador department. Since 1 May 2024 the 14 departments have been divided into 44 municipalities and 262 districts, and former municipalities such as Soyapango are now districts. A Salvadoran login sets the country alone, -cc-sv, and the departments and cities currently on offer are listed in the dashboard generator.

Population: 2024 census final report (BCR), district table as published by El Mundo. Lookups give district names as cities and write six departments without accents or the word Department: Ahuachapan, Cabanas, Cuscatlan, La Union, Morazan, Usulutan. Smaller places such as Zacatecoluca, Metapán, Cojutepeque, Sonsonate and Antiguo Cuscatlán also turn up as exit locations, where available. Two databases may put the same address in different towns, so confirm the city of an exit in our IP checker.
In APNIC Labs’ estimate three ASNs carry three in four Salvadoran internet users: Claro’s AS14754 and Tigo’s cable and mobile networks. Ufinet, a regional fibre carrier, and Movistar come next.

Users: APNIC Labs, 29 October 2026 (shares overlap: the full column sums to 102.76%). IPv6: APNIC per-network table to 30 October 2026; Claro’s rate fell from 48.17% in October 2025 to 28.58% in APNIC’s daily series. Ufinet is a regional carrier that local ISPs run on, so exits on its addresses show AS52468. Carrier targeting is limited to the US, the UK and Germany, so identify a Salvadoran exit’s network by its ASN.
SIGET counted 12,031,743 active mobile lines at the end of 2025, 85% of them prepaid. The split by operator is approximate, from trade press reports of September 2026. Salvadoran mobile exits, where the pool has them, use these four networks; the order page says which are available.
Shares: Telesemana, 17 September 2026, which names no source; El Mundo and Revista E&N, reporting the Digicel sale, put Digicel at about 13% and Movistar at about 27%, also unsourced. The Digicel deal needs regulatory approval and is expected to close in the first half of 2027. Line count: SIGET, fourth quarter of 2025, via El Mundo.

Only -cc-sv and a six-hour session go into the login. The code skips any exit outside El Salvador, stops at the first one in San Salvador or La Libertad department, and prints the operator’s brand in place of its registry name.

https://ipinfo.io/jsonSalvadoran prices are quoted in US dollars. Bitcoin has been legal tender since 2021; since May 2025 private businesses may accept it without being required to.
Under the Ley de Integración Monetaria the US dollar starts to circulate legally, at a fixed 8.75 colones to the dollar. The law is still in force.
The law the Legislative Assembly passed on 8 June 2021 takes effect, and bitcoin becomes legal tender beside the dollar.
Decreto 199 makes acceptance voluntary and limits it to fully private businesses, repeals tax payments in bitcoin, and turns “every price may be expressed in bitcoin” into “may be converted”.
The IMF board approves a 40-month Extended Fund Facility of about US$1.4 billion and cites the reform making private acceptance of bitcoin voluntary.
The amendments apply 90 days after their publication in the Diario Oficial of 30 January 2025.
Honduras next door prices in lempiras. On 31 October 2026 walmart.com.sv listed an Evenflo manual breast-milk collector at US$20, and walmart.com.hn listed the same item at L1,399.
The Ley para la Protección de Datos Personales, Decreto 144, was published on 15 November 2024 and took effect eight days later. It applies to every public or private body that processes personal data, and the Agencia de Ciberseguridad del Estado (ACE) supervises it with powers to sanction (article 50). The Legislative Assembly approved changes to the law on 17 September 2026; the text currently in force is the one that applies. Consent must be express, with exceptions such as data from sources of public access, unless they are sensitive (articles 26 and 28); data may go abroad only to a destination with adequate protection (article 44).
Decreto 260 of 2016, the special law on computer crimes, sets one to four years in prison for accessing a computer system without permission, or beyond the permission given (article 4), and three to six for breaking the security of a protected system (article 9). Our search of Salvadoran law turned up no rule that bans VPN or proxy use or requires registration or a licence for it.

It routes your requests through a home or phone connection in El Salvador, on a network such as Claro or Tigo, so a site answers as it would a visitor in the country. Dollar prices from Siman, Súper Selectos and Walmart, google.com.sv rankings and a check of your own Salvadoran pages all depend on that.
299K+ residential IPs in the pool, October 2026. No mobile figure is published: Claro, Tigo, Movistar and Digicel lines carry the mobile exits when the pool includes them, and the order page shows today’s offer.
Only the country goes into the login, -cc-sv. The dashboard generator lists the departments and cities on offer, where available, and the Python tab stays near the capital by filtering on the department ipinfo.io reports. Lookups give district names such as Soyapango as the city; databases often disagree on the town, so confirm it in our IP checker.
Home lines and phones on Claro and Tigo, whose three ASNs reach 75.17% of Salvadoran internet users in APNIC’s estimate, and on Ufinet, Movistar, Cable Color and Digicel. A Salvadoran login cannot pick a carrier, an option that exists only for the US, the UK and Germany; to know an exit’s network, read the ASN in a lookup.
Claro’s Salvadoran lines sit on AS14754, registered to Telecomunicaciones de Guatemala, which also carries Claro in Guatemala, Nicaragua and Honduras, so the org field prints the Guatemalan company. Go by the country field: SV means a Salvadoran exit. Cable Color’s network shows the Honduran name Globalnet.hn in the same way.
In dollars, which have circulated legally since 1 January 2001. Bitcoin is still legal tender, but since 1 May 2025 private businesses accept it only if they choose to, and taxes can no longer be paid with it. Siman, Súper Selectos, Walmart and San Nicolás all list prices in US$.
Use rotating residential exits for price lists and search results, and mobile exits to test apps on Claro, Tigo or Movistar. Your own accounts, used within each platform’s rules, are better on an ISP proxy: one static address for as long as you rent it. Check the order page for Salvadoran ISP stock.
We found no Salvadoran rule aimed at VPNs or proxies. Getting into a computer system without authorisation is punishable under article 4 of Decreto 260 of 2016, and the 2024 data-protection law, supervised by the ACE, covers any personal data you gather. Not legal advice.
Usually not: a free proxy’s owner is unknown to you and can log each request you make and each password you type. In a lookup, a Salvadoran home line shows a network such as Claro’s AS14754, Tigo’s AS27773 or Movistar’s AS263783; a hosting company in the org field means a server.
Enter gate.aeonproxy.com as the HTTP proxy host and 7000 as the port in your extension, app or script, with ap_a1b2c3-cc-sv as the username and your password. Adding -sid-ss01-time-1800 to the username keeps one exit for 30 minutes. The docs explain SOCKS5 and other clients; the free trial’s current terms are on the pricing page.
