Search

Google, with Bing on desktops

Google had 93.92% of Guatemalan searches in September 2026 and Bing 5.32%, or 12.94% on desktop computers (StatCounter). Phones made 61.99% of page views that month after computers led in July and August. SERP proxies explains rank checks on both.

Coverage

Guatemala City, Mixco, Villa Nueva and the largest towns

The 2018 census counted 14,901,286 Guatemalans, 3,015,081 (20.2%) of them in Guatemala department, home to the capital, Mixco and Villa Nueva. The login targets the whole country with -cc-gt, and the dashboard generator shows which departments and cities you can pick.

Population: INE census of 23 July 2018, urban population of each municipality as tabulated by citypopulation.de; the count is not adjusted for an underenumeration estimated at 9.0%. Chichicastenango, Coatepeque, Esquipulas, Sololá, Poptún and Tactic also appear among exit locations, where available. Databases often place one address in different towns, so look the exit up in our IP checker before you rely on its city.

Networks

Claro and three Tigo networks, then Ufinet and the cable ISPs

APNIC Labs estimates that Claro’s network reaches 34.28% of Guatemalan internet users and Tigo’s three ASNs 45.73% between them. Ufinet, a carrier serving several countries, has 13.99%; Cabelnet and Cablecolor lead the cable companies.

Users: APNIC Labs, 29 October 2026; the 61 Guatemalan rows sum to 110.23%, since each share is estimated separately. IPv6: APNIC, to 30 October 2026. Left out: Starlink (1.28%), carriers such as Columbus Networks, and hosting, VPN and security networks. A Guatemalan login cannot pick a network (ISP and carrier keys are offered in the US, the UK and Germany), so tell them apart by ASN.

Mobile

Tigo and Claro share Guatemala’s mobile lines

Guatemala had 20.61 million mobile lines at the end of 2023, 113.7 for every 100 people, on two networks. Where the pool has Guatemalan mobile exits, they are phones on Tigo or Claro; check the order page for stock.

Tigo11.72 million lines (Comcel Guatemala)56.9%
Claro8.89 million lines (Telecomunicaciones de Guatemala)43.1%

SIT figures as published by TeleSemana, updated 15 October 2026. Both operators launched 5G NSA in 2022. In 2023 the SIT assigned 60 MHz in the 700 MHz band, 40 MHz to Claro and 20 MHz to Tigo, and raised USD 170 million. Millicom says Tigo Guatemala is moving customers from prepaid to postpaid.

For developers

Quetzaltenango, with exits outside GT thrown out

Each session lasts an hour on the country key -cc-gt. The script discards any exit a lookup places outside Guatemala, since Claro’s and Ufinet’s ASNs also carry addresses in other countries, keeps the first one in the department you ask for and labels it by brand.

Use "Guatemala" for the capital area or "Alta Verapaz" for Cobán. -time- takes 60 to 21600 seconds, and dropping -sid- gives every request a fresh exit. Network keys are available only on US, UK and German logins.

Personal data and computer crime in Guatemala

We found no general data-protection law or authority in Guatemala. The Ley de Acceso a la Información Pública (Decreto 57-2008) defines personal and sensitive data and sets duties for public bodies, and its article 64 reaches anyone: selling or distributing files of personal data without the written authorisation of the people concerned, where the data do not come from public registries, carries five to eight years in prison and a fine of Q50,000 to Q100,000. Leave names and phone numbers from listings out of your datasets.

Article 274 “F” of the Penal Code, as reformed by Decreto 31-2012, punishes using or obtaining data held in computer records, databases or electronic files without authorisation with six months to two years and a fine of Q2,000 to Q10,000. Initiative 6347, a cybercrime bill that would add an offence of illicit access to systems, went back to committee in April 2026. The Guatemalan texts we found set no licence, registration or ban for VPN or proxy use.

Guatemala proxy questions

A Guatemala proxy lends your requests an address on a Guatemalan home or phone network, and sites then answer as they would answer a local visitor. It is what you use to see Cemaco, MAX and Walmart prices in quetzales, to read Mapainmueble or Encuentra24 listings and to check google.com.gt results.

22K+ residential IPs in the pool, October 2026; homes going online and offline move the total. Tigo and Claro mobile exits are sold where the pool has them and are not counted separately; current stock is on the order page.

A Guatemalan login sets only the country, -cc-gt; the dashboard generator lists departments and cities where available. After connecting, filter on the region field: the capital and Mixco read Guatemala, Cobán reads Alta Verapaz. Geolocation databases can disagree about the town, so check it in our IP checker.

Guatemalan homes and phones on Claro and Tigo, which between them reach about four in five of the country’s internet users in APNIC’s estimate, and on Ufinet and cable ISPs such as Cabelnet, Cablecolor, INET and Nortvcom. You cannot choose one at login, since network keys are limited to the US, the UK and Germany; read the ASN instead.

A lookup prints the company that registered the ASN. Tigo uses three: Comcel Guatemala (AS23243), Servicios Innovadores de Comunicación y Entretenimiento (AS52362) and Navega.com (AS26617). Claro’s lines show Telecomunicaciones de Guatemala, and Cabelnet’s show Señal Nacional.

Price tracking, listings and search work on rotating residential exits. Choose mobile, at $0.50 more per GB, for app tests and phone pages, and include iPhones: iOS had 25.66% of Guatemalan mobile traffic in September 2026. An ISP proxy gives one static Guatemalan address for the whole rental, for your own accounts used within each platform’s rules; availability is on the order page.

We found no Guatemalan law on proxy or VPN use. Obtaining or using data from computer records without authorisation is an offence under article 274 “F” of the Penal Code, and article 64 of Decreto 57-2008 punishes selling or distributing personal-data files without written consent. Not legal advice.

You cannot see who runs a free proxy, and that operator can copy every request and password you send through it. Look its address up before trying it: Claro’s AS14754, a Tigo ASN or a local cable ISP with country GT points to a Guatemalan line, a hosting company to a data centre.

In any tool that takes an HTTP proxy, set the host gate.aeonproxy.com, port 7000, user ap_a1b2c3-cc-gt and your password. With -sid-gua01-time-2700 added, one exit stays yours for 45 minutes. The docs show SOCKS5 and app-by-app setup, and the pricing page gives the current free-trial terms.

Shops quote quetzales: Cemaco and Walmart Guatemala list prices in GTQ, written Q. The quetzal has moved little against the dollar; Millicom’s accounts show an average of 7.66 per US$ in both the third and the fourth quarter of 2025, against 7.72 a year earlier. Keep the currency next to each price anyway, so quetzal prices and dollar prices from US stores never mix.
