Listings and prices
First among Ethiopian shopping sites by estimated search traffic, 23rd overall. Record prices and listing counts per category; leave sellers’ names and phone numbers out.
212K+ residential IPs in the pool, October 2026, on Ethio Telecom and Safaricom, the two networks behind almost every Ethiopian internet user. A GB of residential traffic costs $3.49, or $1.69 at the top volume tier, and mobile runs from $3.99 down to $2.19. The country key -cc-et goes into the login, and the dashboard generator lists the Ethiopian regions and cities on offer.
Ethiopian residential addresses in the pool, October 2026.
APNIC Labs’ estimate for AS24757, 29 October 2026. Safaricom’s AS328988 reaches 41.53%, and the two estimates overlap.
APNIC, 30 October 2026, against about 0.09% a year before, so expect IPv4 from an Ethiopian exit.
A session key with -time-21600 keeps one Ethiopian address for six hours; a login without one rotates on every request.
| Proxy | In Ethiopia | Session | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Residential | 212K+ residential IPs in the pool, October 2026, on Ethiopian home and phone connections | Rotating, or sticky up to 6 h | $3.49 → $1.69 per GB |
| Mobile | Ethio Telecom and Safaricom exits where the pool has them; the order page shows availability | Rotating, or sticky up to 6 h | $3.99 → $2.19 per GB |
| ISP | Static IPs, one customer each; availability by country on the order page | Static for the rental | $3.99 per IP / month |
| Datacenter | Dedicated IPs, up to 10 Gbps; availability by country on the order page | Static | $1.99 per IP / month |
By estimated organic search traffic, Ahrefs ranks Jiji first among Ethiopian shopping sites in October 2026 and 23rd among all sites in the country; amazon.com is second in shopping and 48th overall. Mekina lists cars in birr: on 31 October 2026 a 2001 Toyota Vitz was offered at ETB 2,300,000 and a 2023 Hyundai Creta at ETB 7,500,000.
Ethiopian Airlines is the only travel site in the same top 100. On its Ethiopia market some fares are payable in birr, by Ethiopian citizens and residence-permit holders only, while extras such as onboard Wi-Fi are priced in US dollars.
StatCounter gave Google 95.47% of Ethiopian searches in September 2026 and Bing 3.7%. On phones Bing had 0.26%, so its share comes almost entirely from computers, which also produced more page views than phones that month, 51.23% to 47.75%. Rank checks with gl=et are set up as on the SERP proxy page.
Ethiopia has held no census since 2007. The Ethiopian Statistics Service projected 105,163,988 people for July 2022, 3.67% of them in Addis Ababa. A login with -cc-et can exit anywhere in the country, and the dashboard generator names the regions and cities it can offer.
| City | Name in GeoNames | Region in GeoNames | ESS projection, July 2022 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Addis Ababa | Addis Ababa | Addis Ababa | 3,860,000 |
| Gondar | Gonder | Amhara | 466,000 |

| Bishoftu | Bishoftu | Oromiya | 207,400 |
Population: ESS projections for 1 July 2022, via citypopulation.de. ipinfo.io returns place and region names in GeoNames’ spelling. Exits also come from towns such as Harar, Jijiga, Asela, Dila, Bonga, Metu and Aksum. In ipinfo.io lookups of random Ethio Telecom and Safaricom addresses on 31 October 2026, most were placed in Addis Ababa, so look up each exit’s town in our IP checker first.
APNIC Labs finds three access networks with a measurable share of Ethiopian users: state-owned Ethio Telecom, Safaricom Ethiopia and the fibre ISP WebSprix. Both mobile networks are almost entirely IPv4.
| Network | ASN | Share of Ethiopian users | IPv6-capable | Operator’s own count |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ethio Telecom | AS24757 | 79.89% | 0.07% | 90.12 million customers, 2025/26 |
| Safaricom | AS328988 | 41.53% | 0.03% | 15 million+ active in 90 days, September 2026 |
| WebSprix | AS329227 | 0.99% | 0.04% | Private fibre ISP |
Users: APNIC Labs, table of 29 October 2026; it estimates each network separately, so the shares add up to more than 100%. IPv6: APNIC, read 31 October 2026. Cloudflare (0.27%), Starlink (0.07%) and hosting and CDN networks also appear in APNIC’s Ethiopian table, and none of them is a home or phone line. ISP and carrier keys exist only for the US, the UK and Germany; for Ethiopia, the ASN in each lookup tells the networks apart.
Ethiopian mobile exits in the pool run on Ethio Telecom or Safaricom; the order page lists what is available. Each count is the operator’s own measure.
Safaricom Ethiopia began commercial 4G service; by late December it was live in 21 cities, Addis Ababa, Adama, Bahir Dar, Gondar and Hawassa among them.
Ethio Telecom’s share-sale prospectus: 78.3 million subscribers against Safaricom’s 4.6 million.
13.6 million customers active in 90 days, 3,504 sites and 4G for 59% of the population.
90.12 million customers and 51.53 million mobile data users; 4G in 1,200 towns and 5G in 33 cities.
Safaricom passed 15 million customers active in 90 days, on more than 3,500 sites.
First among Ethiopian shopping sites by estimated search traffic, 23rd overall. Record prices and listing counts per category; leave sellers’ names and phone numbers out.
Used and new cars, rentals, trucks and machinery, with filters by seller type, fuel and transmission. Track asking prices in ETB by brand, model and year.
Fourth among Ethiopian jobs and education sites by estimated search traffic; its home page showed 1,100+ openings on 31 October 2026. Count openings by field.
The airline’s Ethiopia market, first among travel sites in the country. Keep each fare with its currency, birr or US dollars, and the date you read it.

The login holds only -cc-et and a session. The script opens up to eight sessions, drops any exit outside Ethiopia and keeps the first one whose ASN belongs to the network you ask for. It also prints Adama, Hawassa and Mekelle where a lookup gives the GeoNames forms Nazrēt, Awasa and Mek’ele.

https://ipinfo.io/jsonPersonal data falls under the Personal Data Protection Proclamation No. 1321/2024, supervised by the Ethiopian Communications Authority. Controllers and processors must register with the Authority before processing personal data (article 33), and personal data collected in Ethiopia must be stored on a server or data centre in the country (article 22). A transfer abroad in breach of the Proclamation carries five to ten years in prison or a fine of ETB 200,000 to 600,000 (article 64). Sellers’ names and phone numbers on Ethiopian listings are personal data; prices and listing counts are not.
The Computer Crime Proclamation No. 958/2016 punishes access to a computer system, data or network without authorisation, or beyond it, with up to three years’ simple imprisonment or a fine of Birr 30,000 to 50,000 (article 3), and requires service providers to keep traffic data for one year (article 24). We found no Ethiopian law that names VPNs or proxies. Reaching a blocked or restricted service through our proxies is not supported.

Your requests leave from an address on Ethio Telecom or Safaricom, and Ethiopian sites answer them as they would a visitor in the country. You need one for Jiji listings, Mekina car prices in birr, Ethiopian Airlines fares for the Ethiopia market, google.com.et rankings or a check of your own site from inside Ethiopia.
212K+ residential IPs in the pool, October 2026. No separate mobile count exists: mobile exits run on Ethio Telecom and Safaricom where the pool has them, and the order page shows current availability.
Logins on this page carry the country key, -cc-et, and the dashboard generator shows which Ethiopian regions and cities can be picked, where available. Geolocation databases put most Ethiopian addresses in Addis Ababa and often disagree about smaller towns; check the town of each exit in our IP checker.
Homes and phones on Ethio Telecom, whose network APNIC credits with 79.89% of Ethiopian users, and on Safaricom, with 41.53%; a few come from the fibre ISP WebSprix. Sort the exits by ASN: AS24757 is Ethio Telecom and AS328988 Safaricom.
GeoNames, whose place names ipinfo.io returns, files Adama under the name Nazrēt and keeps Adama as an alternate; an ipinfo.io lookup of an Ethio Telecom address in Oromiya on 31 October 2026 came back as “Nazrēt”. Treat both forms as one city when you filter exits, as the Python tab does.
Rotating residential exits cover listings, prices and search results. Phones produced 47.75% of Ethiopian page views in September 2026, 94.8% of them Android, so test mobile pages and apps on Android through a mobile exit on Ethio Telecom or Safaricom ($0.50 more per GB). An ISP proxy suits accounts you run yourself within each platform’s rules, since one static IP stays yours for as long as you rent it; the order page shows whether Ethiopian ISP stock is available.
We found no Ethiopian law that names proxies or VPNs. Unauthorised access to a computer system is a crime under Proclamation 958/2016, and personal data you collect falls under Proclamation 1321/2024, which also requires personal data collected in Ethiopia to be stored there. Reaching blocked services through our exits is not supported. Not legal advice.
A free proxy’s operator is unknown to you and sees everything that passes through it, passwords included. Ethiopian home and phone lines are on AS24757, AS328988 or AS329227; a free “Ethiopian” proxy with any other ASN is a server or a VPN.
Any browser extension, app or script that accepts an HTTP proxy will do: host gate.aeonproxy.com, port 7000, the login ap_a1b2c3-cc-et and your password. With -sid-add01-time-1800 appended, the same exit stays for 30 minutes. The docs cover SOCKS5; a free trial exists, and the pricing page shows its current terms.
Mekina prices cars in birr (ETB). Ethiopian Airlines’ Ethiopia market quotes extras such as Wi-Fi in US dollars, and some of its fares are payable in birr by citizens and residents only. Store the currency code with every price you collect.
